Fudge

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Candy thermometer

Combine sugar, milk, chocolate, corn syrup, & salt in saucepan.  Stir constantly to 234 degrees.  Remove from heat, add butter.  Cool to 120 degrees.  Add vanilla.  Beat vigorously 5-10 minutes.  Add nuts.

Place in buttered 9″ loaf pan.  Cool.
