Others writing the Sunday Somethings: Kerry
Something that makes me happy: Sleeping in, with the window open and a cool breeze coming in over my face, birds singing.
Something tasty: A new recipe from the P90X program – “Island Pork Tenderloin” which i haven’t had time to add to my recipes list but i definitely will. It will make the regular rotation in our home cooking.
Something i learned: I learned a lot about Citrix.
Some things i am doing towards my goals: Somehow i’m getting my runs in and doing all the P90X workouts. At least for the last 8 days. And Boot Camp starts happening every week Mondays through the fitness center at work.
Something i am reading: I read Still Alice by Lisa Genova quickly. A very fast read, though heart-wrenching at times. Currently reading Songs of Love and Death: All Original Tales of Star Crossed Love, an anthology of many authors that i know and love.
Something happening around the house: The azaleas are blooming and beautiful.
Something i am struggling with: My great-grandma isn’t doing so well. A lot of family was in town over the weekend to see her and i was invited to come, too. I struggled with whether this was a family obligation or not. I felt like i should go, but had a few reasons for not wanting to, not the least of which is that i was exhausted. I ended up not going. I think i’m OK with it, but struggled with that decision. Mom was great about it though.
Something i am looking forward to: I bought my first Groupon for a zipline adventure in Morganton, NC. We’ll be there at the end of the month for bridge, so i nabbed the opportunity when i saw it. It should be fun. I did a ropes course as a teenager and totally loved it.
Something i am hoping: To perform well in Saturday’s 10K.
Something random: A friend at our baseball draft told us about how his 4-yr old nephew is doing really well in his NCAA pool b/c he picked Butler to win. Why? B/c the kid likes saying “BUTT-ler!”
Something planned: Lunch with friends.
