I’ve committed to it, i’m going to do it, and the training is right around the corner (literally, it starts next week). 10 weeks of hard work. At the end, a 13.1 mile run. Yikes.
The training schedule i have is basically
running: 3 times per week
cross training: 1-2 times per week (walking, swimming, cardio machines)
weights: 1-2 times per week.
I have one long run each week on Saturdays, and each week the mileage increases, like so:
Week 1: 5 miles
Week 2: 6 miles
Week 3: 7 miles
Week 4: 8 miles
Week 5: 5 miles
Week 6: 10 miles
Week 7: 6 miles
Week 8: 11 miles
Week 9: 7 miles
Week 10: 13.1 mile RACE
I’m going to try to be consistent with blogging about the training, among other things if i think of them. They say that being accountable to someone, even an anonymous, possibly non-existant audience, helps with the motivation. Can’t hurt.
